Incorrect Use
Below are examples of incorrect logo uses. While the Urbana-Champaign logo appears here, these examples also apply to the use of the Illinois logo or either version of the I Mark.

Designers Should
- Avoid modifying any element of the campus logos, including combining it with other design elements.
- Avoid incorporating the campus logos into a sentence, phrase, or word. The I Mark or the Column I removed from the I Mark should not be used to replace the letter "I" in a word.
Examples
A. Do not alter the position of elements.
B. Do not alter the position of elements.
C. Do not alter approved colors.
D. Do not make the other elements a different color than the I Mark.
E. Do not use a drop shadow.
F. Do not alter the campus logos or use elements separately.
G. Do not change the typeface.
H. Do not use the campus logos over a background that renders it unreadable.
I. Do not use the campus logos on an angle.
J. Do not alter the proportions of elements.
K. Do not combine the campus logos with another logo.
L. Do not combine the campus logos with another logo.
M. Do not substitute other images or logos for the I Mark.
N. Do not substitute other images or logos for the I Mark and/or change wordmark.
O. Do not substitute the names of other campus units for the Illinois wordmark and campus name text.
P. Do not substitute the names of other campus units for the Illinois wordmark and campus name text.
Q. In the one-color version of the I Mark, do not change the color of the Column I and the inner border. Both must remain white.
R. Do not change the color of the Column I element. In the one-color version, the inner border of the I Mark and the Column I must remain white
