Gonfalon Guidelines

Gonfalons are banners that hang from a crossbar. At Illinois, gonfalons are carried in processions at Convocation and Commencement to identify the faculty members who make up the colleges, schools, and institutes on campus.

Because these events are formal gatherings where the entire campus is represented and a historical context is important, the 1867 version of the I Mark should be used.
